Charles Goering,aka Barrelhouse Chuck is the piano player of choice for many Chicago musicians, and as appeared on more sessions than I've had pizza takeaways. His playing is a delight to behold, and although he occasionally swiches to organ for the sake of variety, his traditional-style piano is what pleases the most! As a measure of respect with which Chuck is held, a host of musicians queue up to help out, amongst them Otis "Smokey" Smothers, S.P. Leary, Willie Smith, Calvin Jones, Erwin Helfer,Willie Kent, Johnny B. Moore, Hash Brown and Billy Flynn. Add to that Chuck's gruff vocal delivery, and you have an album guaranteed to bring a smile to your lips!
